“Art is the very essence of the human mind and spirit. In Sacramento, we are all privileged to have such a varied representation of the performing arts available to us. We feel is our responsibility to support what we enjoy and what enriches us. We hope you do whatever you can to do the same.”Zhelya Henriksen

Kay Resler

“I’m extremely proud of having such wonderful performances for all ages here in our State capital.  Children need to grow and nurture their creative side and this is the way to do so.  Live performances are so marvelous and I want to make sure it continues!  We have a jewel for our community.”Kay Resler

Other Ways to Give:

Gifts of Appreciated Securities

You may receive greater tax benefits by giving a gift of appreciated stock than giving cash. Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock directly to CMT.

Memorial and Honorary Contributions

Making a donation to CMT provides a wonderful opportunity  to honor or remember someone special or to remember a special occasion through a memorial gift or an honorary gift. A personalized tribute card will be sent to the honored person or family notifying them of the donation, the amount of the donation will not be revealed.

Every memorial or honorary gift is tax-deductible to the extent of the law and the donor will receive an acknowledgement for their donation.

Workplace Giving

Many employers provide workplace giving opportunities through payroll deduction. State and federal government employees can support California Musical Theatre’s education programs through the United California State Employees Campaign and the Combined Federal Campaign. Employees can designate a particular agency to receive their contribution, and the money is collected through payroll deductions.

Please contact your employer for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Donors' Lounge?

A private lounge area is available to donors at $250 and above levels, providing the opportunity to relax before a show and at intermission. Donors and up to four guests have access to refreshments and table seating. The Donors' Lounge is located in the courtyard at Music Circus and on the Grand Tier level at the Community Center Theater for Broadway Sacramento
  • How do you determine subscription and individual seating priority?

When we process season tickets, changes and additional seating requests are granted first come-first served, based on availability. All special requests must be put in writing on your subscription invoice. Invoices returned earliest have a better chance of being filled and donors at the $250 and above level have their requests processed before non-donors. While we make every effort to accommodate these requests, there are no guarantees that we will be able to fulfill them.
  • What does it mean to have special assistance with seating requests?

As our productions become more popular, the inventory of available seating becomes less, and requests for upgrades and exchanges are more difficult to accommodate. At the $1,000 and above level, you have the opportunity to call the development department to receive special assistance with ticket requests.
  • What are some of the special events?

Depending on your benefit level, you may receive invitations to various "donors only" events. These include: "Behind the Scenes at Music Circus," which offers guests an insider's view of how the magic is created onstage and the "Broadway Sacramento Sneak Peek Event," a special look at the upcoming productions at Broadway Sacramento, before the season is announced to the public.
