Location

The Convention Center Box Office is the primary box office for all public, ticketed events held at the Convention Center Complex’s venues. It is located in the lobby of the Community Center Theater at 1301 L St, Sacramento, CA  95814.  Phone:  (916) 808-5181.

Forms of Payment Accepted

Payment by cash, personal check (with proper ID), MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover.  No checks accepted beginning one week prior to performance/event.

Single-show tickets to Broadway Sacramento shows can be ordered through the Convention Center Box Office.  Call (916) 808-5181, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  TDD Hearing Assistance System: 916.264.7151.  Phone orders subject to a $9.00 per order (not per ticket) processing fee.

Order in Person

At the Convention Center Box Office you may purchase single-show tickets to Broadway Sacramento shows with no processing fees.  Open Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm, and two hours prior to events on performance days.  One hour prior to each performance time is reserved for business for that event only.  On event nights, open through the first intermission.

Accessibility

As of February 2010, additional accessible seating is available at the Community Center Theater. This seating (four spaces plus four companion seats), located in row I on the main floor (orchestra level), is available for patrons with disabilities. To utilize these seats, a patron using a mobility assistive device must have a vertical clearance no greater than 42” so as not to obstruct the sight line of the stage for patrons seated behind row I. The vertical clearance is measured from the floor to shoulder height, or from floor to top of seatback of their mobility assist device, whichever is greater. Other patrons who request accessible seating can be seated in the Grand Tier (row WC), Second Tier (row WC) or main level (row CC). This arrangement is an interim solution and the future renovation will provide accessible seating in a more comprehensive manner.

These additional accessible seats are held to accommodate accessible seating requests 1) until the event is sold out or 2) if event is not a sell-out, and seats are not purchased by a person with a disability, some locations may be sold to an able-bodied person on the day of the performance, subject to availability.  A non-fixed chair will be placed in the space.

Will Call / 3rd Party Will Call

Will Call opens beginning two hours prior to the performance, at the performance venue.  Will call customers must present valid photo I.D. and the actual credit card used to purchase the tickets in order to have tickets released.

The Box office will accept 3rd party/drop-off Will Call beginning 30 minutes prior to performance time on ticket. This service is provided for our patrons attending the event who have a member or members of their party running late.

The Box Office will NOT accept 3rd party Will Call from ticket brokers or resellers.

Customers will be required to fill out a third-party will call envelope and include tickets. Customers who wish to leave tickets at Will Call do so at their own risk. The Convention Center Box Office does not assume any responsibility for any illegible or unclaimed third-party Will Call tickets.

Group Tickets

Group discounts are available by calling the Group Sales department at (916) 557-1198 or emailing groupsales@calmt.com. Group ticket sales are not available at the Convention Center Box Office. The Group Sales department phones are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Facility Fees

Tickets for Broadway Sacramento productions at the Community Center Theater have a $3.00 per ticket facility fee included in the ticket price.  California Musical Theatre includes the facility fees when we published the ticket prices in brochures and on our website. Tickets.com adds the facility fee to their fees section.

Fees For Phone & Mail Order

Phone and mail orders for single-show Broadway Sacramento tickets carry a $9.00 processing fee per order (not per ticket).  Season ticket orders for Broadway Sacramento (handled through the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office) carry a $12.00 processing fee per order (not per ticket).

Fees For Online Orders

Online ticket orders through Tickets.com are subject to a Tickets.com per-ticket convenience fee and processing fee, which typically total from 15% to 18% of the purchase price.

Fees For In Person Orders

Single-show tickets purchased in person are not charged a processing fee.

Children

Children under four (including babes in arms) will not be admitted.

Late Seating Policy

Late arriving audience members may be held out until the first appropriate seating opportunity. Late seating holds are in place for the convenience of the performers and audience members who are seated at show time.  The length of the late seating hold varies by production and is set in consultation with the production artistic staff.

Refund & Exchange Policy

All tickets for Broadway Sacramento productions are non-refundable. Tickets purchased through Group Sales cannot be exchanged.  Requests for ticket exchanges should be made at the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office, (916) 557-1999.  Any exchanges must be done with tickets in hand.  Tickets may be exchanged for the same production only, at least 48 hours before the date and time on the tickets.  Any exception to this policy is subject to a $10.00 fee.  Additionally, a $2.00 fee will be charged for each ticket exchanged in addition to any ticket price upgrade.  Subscribers may donate their tickets back to California Musical Theatre up to 48 hours before the date and time on the tickets, as a tax-deductible membership contribution.  Please consult Tickets.com regarding their exchange policies.  Special Restrictions for Wicked:  For single-show ticket buyers there are no refunds, cancellations or exchanges on tickets for Wicked.  For subscribers, any exchanges (subject to availability) or donations of tickets for Wicked must be made prior to May 19, 2014.

Ticket Availability and Pricing

For all Broadway Sacramento shows, tickets are subject to availability and prices are subject to change.  Tickets should be purchased early to lock in ticket prices and seats. Season and group tickets are revocable licenses, and CMT reserves the right to invalidate tickets and suspend future sales for anyone caught or suspected of reselling those tickets for more than face value.
