2012 Music Circus Family Guide
California Musical Theatre believes that parents know best what is suitable for their children, but offers these recommendations to help them in deciding which productions to share with their families. It also takes into consideration that many young children may not have the attention span for productions that usually run two and a half hours (which includes one intermission). As a courtesy to all patrons, children under 4 are not permitted in the theatre.

Recommended for 4 and over. Small town American values face off against a dishonest salesman who promises to form a children’s marching band. A straightforward narrative, colorful characters, upbeat songs and good old-fashioned happy ending make this an ideal show to share with children. |

Recommended for 7 and over. This classic of musical theatre tells of a Jewish family’s struggle with change in Czarist Russia, focusing on the parents’ clinging to tradition while their daughters embrace the changing world. |
