    Gypsy

    July 15 - 20, 2008

    At the Wells Fargo Pavilion
    1419 H Street, Sacramento, CA, 95184

Book by Arthur Laurents.  Music by Jule Styne.  Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.  Based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee.

For the first time in 25 years, the rhinestone splendor of vaudeville’s waning days  are brought to life on the Music Circus stage in this classic musical based on the life of burlesque queen Gypsy Rose Lee.  To the accompaniment of Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim’s zesty songs, June and Louise are dragged from one second-rate theatre to another and through a myriad of dingy hotels as their scheming mother pursues a dream of her daughters’ headlining the famed Orpheum Circuit. “Gypsy” features unforgettable songs such as “Let Me Entertain You,” “Some People” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.”

    Availability Guide

Ticket availability is updated at least once a week.  Availability may change at any time.

Best availability - A green star means that at least 250 seats (about 10 percent of the house) are available for sale.
Limited availability - A yellow yield sign means that less than 250 seats (about 10 percent of the house) are available for sale.  These performances can be expected to sell out soon.  Seating will likely be limited to the last two rows of the theatre, or to random single tickets throughout the house.

Very limited availability- A red stop sign means that less than 100 tickets are available for sale.  In most cases this means that there may not be two tickets next to each other.
