Dance Audition Workshop with Randy Slovacek
Want to get serious about your dance audition? Join us for this workshop that highlights best practices for a successful dance audition including mock audition, coaching and invaluable feedback. Led by Randy Slovacek, award-winning director/choreographer at Music Circus and around the county, this workshop is a must for any dancer that wants to work for a professional theatre company.

TEACHING ARTIST: Randy Slovacek (Award-winning director/choreographer). Randy Slovacek’s work has been seen not only for several seasons at Sacramento Music Circus (Chicago, A Chorus Line, Bye Bye Birdie, Hello, Dolly!), but across the country from the 11,000 seat Muny Theater in St. Louis to 99 seat off-Broadway theaters in NYC. Credits include staging and supervising the National tour of Hello, Dolly! starring Carol Channing; the world premiere of Plane Crazy in New York City; numerous regional productions including A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago and Bye Bye Birdie among many others. He has contributed choreography for star-studded benefit performances such as Donna McKechnie In Concert in NYC, One Singular Sensation celebrating the work of Michael Bennett in Kansas City, and Olivia Newton-John’s Grace and Gratitude concert in Philadelphia. As an actor, Randy appeared on Broadway in Follies, Chicago and Hello, Dolly!, as well as the National companies of A Chorus Line, Cats, 42nd Street, Chicago and Hello, Dolly! Throughout his career, he’s had the great opportunity to work with such Broadway dance luminaries as Tony Award winners and nominees Chita Rivera, Donna McKechnie, Ann Reinking, Lee Roy Reams, Charlotte d’Amboise, Ben Vereen, Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall.
