A young chorus girl from Allentown is given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to become a star in a musical that recalls both the classic days of Broadway and the golden age of movie musicals. From one sensational fast-tapping, finger-snapping showstopper to another, it will be hard to pick your favorite: “We’re in the Money,” “Shuffle Off to Buffalo,” “Lullaby of Broadway” or “42nd Street.”

Music by Harry Warren. Lyrics by Al Dubin (additional lyrics by Johnny Mercer and Mort Dixon). Book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble (based on the novel by Bradford Ropes). Original choreography by Gower Champion.
